Create your own beeswax candle and take home a warm, natural light together with the gentle scent of beeswax – a truly slow moment.
Beeswax is Estonia’s only truly local natural material used for making candles. In this hands-on workshop, you will discover two traditional ways of making beeswax candles: by rolling a sheet of honeycomb wax and by pouring melted wax into a mould.
During the workshop, you will:

make candles using both traditional methods

experience the natural scent and texture of beeswax

learn how to choose the right wick and mould

hear stories about the life of a bee colony and how and why bees produce wax

take home the candles you made yourself, together with practical tips for using and enjoying them

The workshop takes place at the Aeglane Hetk apiary at Tormikadaka Farm in Pärnumaa.
By agreement, the workshop can also be organised elsewhere in Estonia (transport costs will be added).
